Dear friends

t is great pleasure to present the Annual Report of Association for Development of Human and Community Rebuilding for the year 2015 – 2016 documenting the progress of activities, impact observed and to share the experiences gained in our development endeavor.

The year 2015 – 2016 was a process of re – looking at our programs, their implementation and impact as we successfully completed 14 successive years in community development. Therefore in addition to running our community development initiatives, we also initiated the process of capacity building within ourselves to strengthen and enhance our performance as an organization. This report gives us the opportunity to share our experience, activities, resource partners, employees and well wishers and some of the highlights of the year gone by. It is also our best opportunity to build higher levels of accountability and transparency for ourselves and for development organizations in general.
Looking back, the accomplishments we can take pride in were clearly the result of concerted and focused action by larger numbers of committed individuals working towards common goal. As always, last year our area of focus was Sustainable Rural Development, specifically rural WATER and SANITATION, Health and Hygiene promotion, women empowerment, capacity building, regular campaign on Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate changes effects & impacts, coastal ecology and other right based campaign.
In the year to come, we will continue to take forward the process of sustainable development within these communities through enhanced community participation, activation, empowerment and ownership. However this year we would be following a right based approach, whereby the new model will be aimed at responsive community action not only on the prevailing facts, issues or problems, but also Rights perspective in an integrated way.
Finally, we must thanks all our supporters in the government and non – government for helping us so greatly during the reporting year. All my colleagues deserve congratulations for putting their best during the year, which cannot be achieved without collective effort.
